MADE FOR MODERN TRANSIT APPLICATIONS
VMAC’s electric air compressor technology is designed for modern transit applications, meeting and exceeding the regulatory requirements and APTA standards for zero-emission transit buses. VMAC has worked closely with transit bus OEMs to design, manufacture, and implement an elite compressed air solution.
WE BUILD RELIABILITY™
It’s critical for transit buses to stay on schedule and meet the relentless demand of 24/7 commutes. Every component used in VMAC systems has been carefully considered for energy efficiency, durability, and quality to ensure the best performance possible. VMAC compressors are designed and manufactured in North America to endure rigorous city conditions, including New York’s humidity, Florida’s heat, and Canada’s freezing winters. All VMAC compressors are backed by extensive warranties.
ROTARY SCREW ADVANTAGE
Transit bus technology has evolved as zero-emission buses demand better longevity and performance. Rotary screw air compressors offer superior efficiency than competing technologies while eliminating common challenges, including air pulsation, overheating, and speed control issues. Critically, rotary technology is also less susceptible than other technologies to damage and failures caused by intake contaminants and can be maintained without disassembly.
LIGHTWEIGHT, COMPACT DESIGNS
Every kilogram and centimetre counts when designing today’s zero-emission buses. Weighing as little as 30 kg (67 lb) , VMAC’s electric air compressor and motor add minimal weight to any transit application. These same systems take up only 0.03 m3 (2.21 ft3) / 34.2L (2090 in3) of space under the bus.
QUIET OPERATION
VMAC air compressor technology is whisper-quiet, while integrated motor packages include sound enclosures, helping bus drivers, their passengers, and the community as a whole enjoy a peaceful commute.
QUICK & EASY MAINTENANCE
VMAC’s rotary screw air compressors are easy to maintain due to thoughtful design, easy access points, and a simple maintenance routine. Scheduled maintenance service can be performed in just a few minutes, helping keep fleets on the go.
